PJ Murphy Forest Products is looking for additional sources of hardwood wood fiber that will be used at our manufacturing facilities.  We offer superb service when picking up the product, and will work closely with you to ensure that all pickups happen at convenient times for you. Our fleet of tractors and trailers assure that you will never be stuck with excess product clogging up your system.  We maintain a network of warehouses to accommodate any seasonal overflow. In addition, we always pay above market prices for your product. Although we realize that there are large quantities available, we can only use product that passes our rigorous 15-point inspection process.  Some of the things we require are listed below:

Southern United States

1. The wood fiber must be kiln-dried.  We will not accept any green or wet material.
   
   
2. The species of the wood fiber must be verifiable.  We require estimates in writing regarding the percentage of each wood species in the product.
   


3. Some examples of raw material that we accept include wood hog, wood shavings, wood chips, and sawdust.
   
   
4. The particle size must be relatively consistent.  If the product consistency is going to be altered, we must be informed.
   
   
5. The quantity of wood produced must be a minimum of a few full trailer loads per week.
   
   
6. We are mainly interested in the following wood species: maple, oak
   
   
7. Should be free of all foreign materials.

Northern United States

1. The wood fiber must be green.
   
   
2. All the wood by-products must be debarked.
   
   
3. We are mainly interested in the following wood species: aspen, beech, birch, maple, pine, hickory, and cherry.
   
   
4. Should be free of all foreign materials.
